Surprise! The Polar Blog is back and better than ever, action-packed to keep you going through these colder months.

As always, we've been beavering away here at Polar HQ and that means we have a lot to update you all on - so let's get started!

October Highlights

We returned to The Stoop, bringing our refreshed (from their summer holibobs, of course) graffiti bars back to the Harlequins home ground! It was great to be back with the wonderful fans we are so lucky to serve. We look forward to seeing the Harlequins have a great season ahead.

Northampton Saints flung open their gates once more and we flung open the fronts of our Brooklyn, Stripey, and Ale bars (just to name a few) to get down to the real business - pouring those fab pints and delivering the fastest service!

As ever, the Polar Bear Family grew to new frontiers with lots of new faces joining us after our visits to freshers fairs across the U.K recruiting for the new wave of family members! We are always welcoming new Polar Bears to work with us. Our available shift dates for the rest of 2019 are out - there's no better time than now!

The beginning of October also saw the release of our brand new promo video which you can catch on our IGTV over on Instagram! A true piece of cinematographic wonder featuring behind the scenes access with our Polar Bears at Formula 1.

What's Coming Up?

With our paws firmly planted in rugby season we see our England team return home from Japan and of course, lots more rugby to watch and pour pints for.

We have a very busy November with lots of fixtures at all of our locations including Babas v Fiji at Twickenham Stadium and gearing up for the Big Game 12 which takes place in December! We'll also be kicking off the month with our sister company Blackpit Brewery's fireworks night - make sure to keep up with them over on their Instagram to see what their bonfire will be this year!

You can always keep up with us on our social media pages to see real-time stories, polar bear antics and up close and personal photoshoots of our beautiful bars.

Industry News:

What is going on in the world around us you ask? Well, I can't tell you much about the situation with Boris or what's going on with Donald Duck over the pond but I CAN tell you about the exciting things going on in the world of Bars and Events! Phew, thank goodness for the Polar Blog.

As always, the industry is making moves in conservation. Carlsberg just announced their new packaging hopefuls featuring two prototypes made of sustainably sourced wood fibres and two options for linings in order to keep the beverages nice and snug in their new packaging. This comes after the Danish Brewer started selling beers in 'snap packs' in order to minimise the use of plastic ring packaging holding together their bottles or cans which are well known for polluting our oceans and harming animals on land and sea.

In other news, Amazon has now thrown their hat into the beverage ring with the launch of their first gin which they have named 'Tovess'.

Their single-batch dry gin is brewed just outside of Birmingham and is the first of a long line of products to be added in the future.  Now you can Amazon Prime your bananas, stationery and gin all from one place. Our prayers have been answered.
